I have been studying Gripped by the Greatness of God (James MacDonald) along with many (80-100?) other women from Central Ministries. One of the assignments this week was to go outside to enjoy God’s creation. Yes please!
Today was a perfect fall day. There was a gentle breeze and the drying leaves crackled beneath my feet. I scared up a deer, and I watched a hawk circling in the sky. I climbed 20 feet into the hunter’s treestand and felt the old shagbark hickory (one I have known since I was a young girl) swaying in the wind. I love that my assignment today was to enjoy God’s creation and to listen for Him to speak. I found myself repeatedly thanking God for the things He has done in my life -over the last few years especially.
When I see all God has made, all He has done, and every minute detail of His creativity, I truly am awestruck by Him. I think that was the point of the exercise. On top of all that, to think that the same God has touched my individual life is indescribable.

Last picture is me sitting in the bed of the gator working on my study for Friday. I had some burning to do and this was a great way to keep an eye on the fire, and continue my day outside. Thank you God for beautiful days like today. Your creation is so vast it is indescribable, yet so minutely detailed it is again beyond words. I am in awe of You!
