PHILEMON 7 MINISTRIES

Philemon 7 Ministries is a home-based retreat and small-group banquet ministry where you can step away from the daily challenges of ministry and family life, and find refreshment.  You will be loved, and  given space to spend time with God and to consider the good plans He has for you.

WHO WE ARE

We are a ministry of people who believe we were created by an eternal and loving God to bring Him glory and honor as we steward the earth He gave to us. We believe that we, God’s people, though we love Him, have been sinful from the first man and woman, and are incapable of pleasing Him on our own.

We believe God sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our failure to bring God glory.  For we have marred the image of God with our sin. We believe that by trusting in Jesus as He substituted His death for ours, the punishment we’d earned was placed on Him. When we believe, Jesus’ righteousness becomes our own.  We are adopted as sons and daughters, loved by the Father, and we look forward to our forever home with Jesus in heaven. We believe that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day Jesus returns for His own, and that through Him, God the Father supplies everything we need to become what He intended for us in the first place: beloved children who bring glory to Him.

OUR HISTORY

In 2004 I began to dream about a ministry of rest and refreshment for ministry workers and volunteers. That year my husband had lost his job, and we could not afford a vacation, but some wonderful friends treated us to a week’s vacation on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. They lent our family their 100-year-old, 6-bedroom lake house for a week while treating us to sailboat lessons, banana boat rides, and hot tub soaks.  We learned that with the resources God had given them, Steve and Christie had started a ministry for pastors and their families where they could come to be refreshed.

That week an idea was conceived in my heart, and I soon knew that one day I too would minister to people in my home with a goal of refreshment and love. It has been 14 years, and I haven’t forgotten. The ministry is being birthed.

Welcome to Philemon 7 Ministries.  A place to be loved.  A place to be refreshed.

BANQUETS

WHAT WE OFFER

October 8, 2018 we hosted our first banquet. It was a night of laughter and of tears, of memories, and of giving thanks to God for His good gifts!

Join us at The Homeplace for a fellowship meal that will touch your heart. You’ll be warmly welcomed and treated as honored guests around our table. Bring your favorite small group, or banquet as part of a weekend retreat. Our goal is to show you the love of God and provide care and encouragement when you need it most.

They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts - Acts 16:9 NIV

Philemon 7 Ministries is primarily a ministry, and thus, not-for-profit.  We are currently working on what that looks like. We do not want the cost to be prohibitive for you, so please talk to us if you cannot make this work.

In the meantime, we have the following suggested donations set in a menu plan:

Retreat, unguided: $20 per person, per night

Retreat, guided: $35 per person, per night

Banquet: $10 per person

Spiritual Mentoring

You may bring your own food, or we will supply food for you in our refrigerator for $15 per person per day

*We will do our best to accommodate special diets, however, we are not an allergy-free facility, and cannot guarantee no cross-contamination.
